Services provided by our Insurance Department
- Detailed analysis of the property in collaboration with our Technical and Administrative Management Departments to determine the most appropriate insurance cover, taking into account the property’s specific features (e.g. external amenities, solar panels, etc.).
- Call for tenders adapted to these specific features in order to obtain tailor-made insurance cover.
- Careful examination of insurance policies to determine and accept the most competitive offer in terms of premium in relation to the extent of cover offered and the insurance company’s efficiency in settling claims.
- Regular updates of the exact sum insured for the property by the contracting insurance company on the basis of the official valuation requested from Switzerland’s Building Evaluation Office (BEB), in order to reduce the risk of under- or over-insurance.
- Verification of annual premium notices and premium notices issued during the year on a pro-rata basis following policy adjustments during the term of the contract.
- Adaptation of contracts or new call for tenders in the event of changes:
- Change in the value of the insured rental income.
- Change of policyholder (succession, sale, transfer of the property to a property company, takeover or merger of companies, etc.).
- Change of commercial tenant if there is a change in the way the premises are used.
- Major works: renovation, upward extension, installation of solar panels, etc. (a new estimate will be requested from the BEB in order to insure the property at its revised value).
- Modification of the product by the contracting insurance company.
- At each insurance expiry date, the most advantageous terms and conditions are sought from a range of companies.
- Close cooperation with our Claims Department to put forward the arguments needed to obtain the compensation due from the insurance company, or to obtain compensation in kind (in the event that a benefit should in principle be refused in a particular case).
Civil liability
Our company has a professional liability insurance policy. It may be held liable only in the event of professional negligence (omissions, negligence, inaccurate information and/or erroneous advice in its insurance consultancy activities and in the preparation of insurance cover for the property). It is not liable for non-insurable claims.
